So, I've been using the [fediverse](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fediverse) since around 2018, and while it is pretty good, and I've met many wonderful people on it, there is oftentimes a common misconception that it is decentralized. I hope to dispel this myth here in this article, since it has come up many times before.
